It is with great sadness that the family of Agnes Elizabeth Hardy (Heffel) announce her passing in Clinton View Lodge on September 28, 2023, age 92. Agnes was born in South Freetown on October 1, 1930, the first of seven children born to Elva (Reeves) and John Heffel. Agnes is survived by her three children, Daryl (Elaine) Hardy of New Haven, Darlene (Greg) Higgins of Picton, Ontario, and Dale Hardy of Kingston, Ontario; her grandchildren, Devin (Jenna) Hardy of Summerside, Lauren (Ben) Doane of Shelburne, NS, Graeme (Hannah) Higgins of Halifax, NS and Brad (Jenny) Higgins of Ottawa, Ontario; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Elise and Isla Hardy of Summerside and Declan and Briar Doane of Shelburne, NS; sisters, Hazel Stetson, Freetown, Mary (Eric) Day of Sooke, BC; sisters-in-law, Eileen Heffel Taylor, Summerside, Joyce Heffel, Freetown, Doris Flamminio, Summerside, Erma Hardy (Allan MacAusland), Summerside; brother-in-law, Doug (Marg) Clarke, Nottawa, Ontario; and many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her husband, Ralph Hardy; sister, Myrna Clarke; brothers, Linus Heffell, Waldron Heffel and Wesley Heffel; sisters-in-law, Ferne Heffell and Roma Hardy; brothers-in-law, Gerald Hardy, Nick Flamminio and Vernon Stetson. Resting in Davison Funeral Home, Kensington. There will be no visitation or public funeral service at the request of the family.
