It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Aubrey Leigh Morrell, age 85, of Summerside on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside. Born in Fredericton, PE, he was a son of the late Leigh and Mary (Ross) Morrell. Aubrey will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his children, Mary (Ryan) Noye, Aubrey (Debbie) Morrell, Elaine (Russ) Noye, Phyllis (Lee) MacAusland and Lester (Lynn) Morrell; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Thelma Chappell; brother, Leigh Charles (Irene); nieces, nephews and extended family. Besides his parents, Aubrey was predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Lilly (McArthur) and brother, Leonard Morrell. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home until Friday October 13, where a funeral service will be held in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Visiting hours on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. Aubrey will be laid to rest beside his wife Lilly in the Pentecostal Cemetery, Foy Road, Brooklyn.
