It is with heavy hearts the family of Brian Joseph Kelly, of North Wiltshire, loving husband of Marie (McCardle) Kelly, announces his sudden passing which occurred on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at his residence. Born in Charlottetown, PE on April 4, 1938, he was the son of the late Earl and Mary (Nantes) Kelly. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Elaine (Pitre) Kelly, sister, Janet Gallant (Lloyd) and brother, Barry Kelly. In addition to his loving wife Marie of 20 years, he is survived by his children, Michael Kelly (Kathy), Pat Kelly, Jamie Kelly (LeeAnne), Scott Kelly (Darlene) and Shannon Munn (Kenny); step-children, Shelley Heron (Shawn), James Cudmore (Lynn), Mary Beth Stevenson (Chris) and Susan Gauthier; brothers, Gerald Kelly (Maureen), Eugene Kelly (Winnie), and Colin Kelly (Anne); sister, Virginia Ellis (Allan); sister-in-law, Guelda Kelly; grandchildren, Vince (Natalie), Nick (Jennifer), Keegan (Cass), Michael, Taylor, Megan, Erin, Makenna, Chase, Jordan (Robyn), John Patrick (Heidi), Taylor (Tyler), Morgan and Shanna; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Brian spent his livelihood working on his mixed family farm while working at Marine Atlantic on the ferry service for 27 years. In retirement he enjoyed the potato harvest season as a truck driver. Brian loved spending time with his family, especially at his favorite spot sitting by the woodstove at home in the garage. He enjoyed playing cards, crib, going camping, taking drives, traveling to Florida and across Canada to see his family. He loved to watch wrestling, hockey, baseball and TV. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend and neighbor. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Tuesday, October 24th from 4-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Emyvale on Wednesday, October 25th at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
