The death occurred peacefully, at the Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown, on Sunday, October 15, 2023, of Doris MacKenna (Doucette), loving wife of William “Billy” MacKenna, formerly of Cornwall, aged 83. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lori MacKenna and Tammylee MacKenna; and grandchildren, Riley and Mikaela. Doris is also survived by her sisters, Merina Currie (Harley), Janette Deagle (Charlie), Christine Barbour (Lowell) and Anna Richter (Konrad); and brother, Pat Doucette (Brenda). She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Albina (Perry) Doucette; brother, Eric Doucette (Shirley); and sister, Velda O’Brien (Paul). Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow. No visitation by personal request. The funeral will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Cornwall, on Friday, October 20th at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Martin of Tours and St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Cumberland.
