The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, of Roger Peter DesRoches, of the Tignish Seniors Coop Home, and formerly of Alberton, age 65 years. Born at Alberton, on September 10, 1958, he was a son of Cedric E. and Deloris M. (nee Gaudet) DesRoches. Dear brother to Ron (Judy), of Calgary, Angela (David) Broderick, of Union, and Mike (Tanya) DesRoches, of West Point. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by a sister, Gail Reiswick, and by a niece, Terri Massey. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass Saturday morning, from the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Walter Flynn, Celebrant.
