It is with our love we share the passing of our loved one, Verna Marie Hurley (Rogers) of Charlottetown, aged 62 years at Provincial Palliative Care Centre on October 14, 2023 with her daughter Courtney and son Coleman by her side. Survived by daughter Courtney Sears (Jason) of Riverview, NB, and son Coleman of Charlottetown, their father Garth Hurley, and adored Nan to Layla Hoeg. Born in Summerside, April 1, 1961. Dear daughter of the late Haviland and Doris (McGaughey) Rogers and daughter-in-law to the late Edmund and Jean Hurley. Sister of Lowell (Anna), Borden-Carleton; Lynn Hughes (Edwin), Shamrock; Lorraine Lowther (Dennis), Cape Traverse; Leonard (Janet), Cornwall; Alanna Wilkins (Jack), Saint John, NB; Allison (Jennifer), Stratford; Paul (Carrie), Bedeque; Danny (Dawn Gradwell), North Tryon; and Leanne, Kinkora; and sister-in-law to Nora Rogers, Charlottetown; Velma Rogers, Summerside; Art MacDonald, Shamrock; and Bill Hurley (Rowena Mcdonald), Mississauga, ON. Adored aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers James, Charles, Alan and sister Darlene MacDonald; and sister-in-law Coleen Rogers. Visitation at Lawless Funeral Home, 21 Somerset St., Kinkora today, Tuesday, October 17th from 4-7 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Seven Mile Bay on Wednesday, October 18th at 11 a.m. Interment in church cemetery at a later date.
