The death occurred peacefully in Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Monday, October 23, 2023, of Zita Marie Rose Gallant (Arsenault) of Summerside, aged 72 years. Zita was born in Mont-Carmel, P.E.I. to the late Amedee and Mary Anne Arsenault. Beloved wife of James “Jimmy” Gallant; and loving mother of Scott (Karen), Rodney (Amy), Merle (Danielle). Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Chloe (Corry), Keera, Tyler, Bentley, Jessie and Luke. Survived by her sister, Sandy (Eldon) Arsenault; brother, Hubert Arsenault, niece, Michelle; and nephews, Rob and Shawn. Resting in East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday October 26th, then to Notre Dame du Mont-Carmel Church for a Funeral Mass at 2 p.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery.
