Age 57, passed away suddenly at Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Thursday, November 9, 2023. Born in Tillsonburg, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late George Ronald Myers and Norma Jean (nee DeMeester) Poirier (Cyrice). She is survived by Michael Day; her daughter, Melissa Day; and son, Mathias Day. Cheryl will be dearly missed by her mother and stepfather, Norma and Cyrice; siblings, Isaac (Bonnie) Odenbach, Ann (Wayne) Robillard, Brenda (Rene) Legacy and Tracey Vessey. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and grand nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family would like to thank and acknowledge the exceptional care given to Cheryl and the support to her family by the staff of the Dr. Georges L. Dumont hospital. The RN’s Madeline, Angie and Stephanie, Dr. Nicole Crevier and Dr. LeBlanc; Nurse Manager Sylvie Melanson-Caissie, and the NB Organ and Donor team, Jessica, Rita and Annie. There will be a funeral service and reception at Central Queen's Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow, P.E.I., on Friday, November 17th at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Ann’s Church Cemetery, Hope River.
