The death occurred peacefully at Andrews of Summerside, on Monday, October 30, 2023, of Dorothy Kane Bernard of Summerside. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marguarita Kane. Survived by her sister, Kathleen (late Norman) Carroll and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Jacques Alain Bernard; brothers, Thomas and John Kane; sisters, Barbara, Margaret, Ethel, Rita, Rose and Teresa. Resting at Moase Funeral Home, Summerside. No visiting hours or funeral service by personal request. A graveside committal service will be held at Peoples Cemetery, Summerside, on Thursday, November 2nd, at 1 p.m. Memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Auxiliary would be appreciated. www.moase.ca
