The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, on Thursday, November 23, 2023, of Eric Doucette, beloved husband of Geraldine Doucette (Peters), of North Rustico and formerly of Oyster Bed Bridge, aged 83. He was the son of the late Aubrey and Mary (Doucette) Doucette. Eric was the loving father of Debbie Doucette (deceased), Ricky Doucette, Shelley Champion, and Scott (Karen) Doucette; and cherished Grampy of Brodie (Laura Lee) and Matthew (Shelby), and Dylan King. He is also survived by his siblings, Eddie (Deanna), Freda (Bruno Ariganello), Roy, Reggie (Donalda) and Stella (Gary); and siblings-in-law, Millie Doucette (Aubrey, deceased), Regis Peters, deceased, (Mae), Freddie Peters, deceased, (Margie), and Lucy Gallant; special niece Rhonda Gallant; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends. Besides his parents, Aubrey and Mary Doucette, and his daughter, Debbie, Eric was predeceased by siblings, Harvey, Raymond, Gerald “Jake”, Doreen Ford (Floyd), Wanda Gallant (Levi), and Patricia Gallant (Johnny). Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 New Glasgow Road, for visitation on Monday, November 27, from 5-8 p.m. The Funeral will be held at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, Rustico, on Tuesday, November 28, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
