It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the death of Janet T. Doiron at the Intercare Chinook Hospice Centre in Calgary, Alberta, on October 14, 2023, at the age of 67. Beloved daughter of the late Edward and the late Helen (Peters) Doiron of New Glasgow. Dear sister of David (Joan) of Saskatchewan; Imelda (Justin) Gallant of Hunter River; Roy of Rustico; Ian of Calgary; Vernon of Wheatley River; Carl (Donna) of Calgary; Judy Gauthier of North Rustico; Claire (Roger) Matheson of Springvale; and Leon (Sylvia) of Freetown, as well as sisters-in-law Louise Turner and Marlene Doiron and brother-in-law Brendon (Victoria) Griffin. She will also be missed by Shaun Harder and Robbie (Taryn), Hannah and Emma Harder, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and many good friends. Waiting to welcome her to her heavenly home are many relatives who have gone before, especially her parents Edward and Helen, brothers Donald, Earl and Allan, sister Anita Griffin and beloved nephew Brandon Doiron. She will be remembered as a good friend, a helper and an organizer of gatherings for family, friends and co-workers. She loved her family dearly and looked forward to her annual visits home to Prince Edward Island. No visitation will be held. A funeral mass will be held at St. Anne’s Church, Hope River, PEI, at 10:30 am, Monday, November 6, 2023, to be followed by a reception – all are welcome to attend. She will be laid to rest with her parents in St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.
