Peacefully at the Souris Hospital on Thursday, November 23, 2023, Margaret “Bernice” McInnis (McGaugh) passed away with her loving family by her side. Born to the late Roach and Marjorie McGaugh on August 18, 1931, she was age 92 years of Selkirk, PEI. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Daniel McInnis and will be remembered as a caring and supportive mother. She is survived by her children, Maggie (Paul) Anderson, Archie (Lynn), Carol (Tom) Lesperance, Danita, Jimmy and Brenda (Philip) Hennessey. Bernice was also a dear grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by sisters, Aileen (Earl; deceased) Dwan, Fran (Francis; deceased) Stewart, Noreen (Jimmy) Kennedy and Anne ( Danny; deceased) MacDonald. Predeceased by sister, Ethel (Frank) Todd; brothers, Gene (Lucy), Colin and Sterling “Buster”. Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home where visiting hours will take place on Sunday, November 26, from 4-7 p.m. with a Legion service to follow at 7 p.m. We invite all members to attend. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Margaret’s Roman Catholic Church, Monday, November 27, at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in the Church cemetery.
