Our beautiful Girl passed away on the 20th day of December, peacefully, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton Ontario, due to a brutal, swift, pancreatic/liver cancer. Conni is survived by her son, Jacob Brooks Robinson and his fiancée Elizabeth O’Brien; parents, Charlie and Gayle Gillis, sisters, Jennifer and Devon, and brother, Robbie. As well as nephews, niece, and many cousins in ON, PE, USA and across Canada, and oh so many friends. Conni was able to Hospice in her home in Hamilton Ontario, Solely to the dedication, love and support of family, friends and neighbours, and the supportive medical teams. Right from the onset, after diagnosis late July, she made it clear that…”there will be no “boo-hoos”....no flowers… let’s make this as normal as possible”. She was so very brave, and as was her way, and always thinking of others and how they were fairing. Conni certainly set the bar high and set a precedent for her family as how to deal with such a diagnosis. Our Girl will be truly missed, and always remembered as a kind, strong, loving woman, a selfless soul who we were blessed to know and love. RIP xo
