The death occurred suddenly at her home, on Sunday, December 10, 2023, of Dawn Lynn Rennie, beloved wife of Elmer Frederick Rennie, of Alma, age 60 years. Born at Alberton, on October 9, 1963, she was the loving daughter of Francis S. and the late Anna M. (nee Adams) Smith, of Alberton. Cherished mother to Christie (Andrew) Doucette, of St. Felix, and Amy (Brett) Doyle, of Sea Cow Pond. Caring grandmother to Everlee, Beau, and Tate. Dear sister to Darlene (Edward) Cahill, of Alberton, Dale (Tammy) Smith, of High Prarie Alberta, Dwayne (Sylvia) Smith, of Alberton, and Deanna (Floyd) McCue, of Tignish. She is also survived by her father and mother-in-law, Weldon and Jean Rennie, of Alma; brother and sisters-in-law, Sheila Rennie, of Alma, and Alan and Darlene, of Elmsdale. Dawn will be sadly missed by her uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and by her many friends. Besides her mother, Anna, she was predeceased by a niece, Mandy Rayner. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday morning, from the Alberton Baptist Church, for funeral service at 11 a.m., Pastor Ross Morrison officiating.
