The death occurred at the South Shore Villa, on Saturday, December 9, 2023, with her family and Villa caretakers by her side, of Doris Maude Peters, of Crapaud, aged 98 years. Born in Augustine Cove, she was the daughter of the late Artemas and Mabel (Wadman) Newsome. Survived by her son, Delbert Clark (Helena); stepdaughter, Marilyn Earle (Robbie); her grandchildren, Shelly (Jay Mackay), Grant (Christine Arsenault), Andrew (Gerri-Lynn White); great-grandchildren, Nevin and Sarah Clark, Kaleigh and Kelton Mackay, Emma and Dylan Clark; step grandchildren, Kyla McCandie Glustien (Nick) and Tanja McCandie (Akihiko Kondo), step great-grandchildren, Tristan McCandie Glustien, Adria McCandie Glustien, Taiga Kondo. Doris was also loved and will be missed by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husbands, Brenton Clark and Amos Peters; her siblings, Ellsworth Newsome and Helen Foy. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, Summerside, where a funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday December 13, at 1 p.m. Interment immediately following in Tryon Peoples Cemetery. No visiting hours by family request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
