Elizabeth Lois “Betty” GRIFFIN

Elizabeth Lois “Betty” GRIFFIN

With the deepest sadness in our hearts our beautiful Elizabeth "Betty" Lois Griffin has gone home to be with our Lord God. Born to George and Sybil Shields (nee Barnett). She was the young age of 72. She leaves behind her daughter, Sheri Wood (late Dino Bradley), son, Jamie Wood, and daughter, Jane Wood. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Colby Wood (Jessica), Leah, Hope, and Summer Wood and Noah Wood. Great-granddaughters, Gabby and Gracie Wood. Nieces, Trina and Tracy and her Marion (mim) who will all miss her dearly. She is predeceased by her mother and father; brothers, Gary and Vaughn; and her precious granddaughter, Amber.

Beautiful Betty This wonderful angel here on earth was more than an amazing wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother. She was the most graceful, forgiving, accepting, loving (unconditional), kind, caring and compassionate servant of Our Lord Jesus Christ. She cared for every living being that our God created. The more broken the more her love poured over you. She loved her people. Her friends, her family, her church family. She loved her precious four-legged babies, Harley and Lucy. She gave the most healing hugs to everyone. Her cousin Taylor said you felt it start at the toes and make its way up and over your whole body. I think those hugs and kisses will be missed most. She had a smile that turned your day around, a touch that sent love right through you and give you goosebumps. She loved to go to the gym to get her 5000 words a day out as Papa used to say. She would talk to anyone and most likely know your life story by the time the conversation ended. She was strong. She could handle more than most dare even try. She never gave up on anyone. She had a special ministry she started a few years ago helping the homeless and trying to give them a Christmas. If you were her ppl you were loved and cherished. She loved her Habs! She would have so much fun during hockey season teasing fans of other teams when they won and she was good at taking the teasing when they lost. GO HABS GO. She will be remembered for all the love and light she spread upon this tiny little Island. I hope you had the pleasure of knowing all things "Betty”. She will be remembered today and everyday to follow. Once she imprinted on your heart she will be there forever. You will be so missed here on earth but heaven is more beautiful with you there. Rest in peace our special angel.
