The death occurred peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, December 7, 2023, of Erma Gallant, of Summerside, aged 81 years. Born in Summerside, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Caroline (Arsenault) DesRoches. Lovingly remembered by her husband, Ferdinand “Fred” Gallant; her daughters, Patricia Gallant, Shelley (Roger) Arsenault, Monique Collier, and Odette (Desmond) Arsenault; grandchildren, Jillian (Patrick) MacLellan, Dylan Arsenault (Allyca Arsenault), Morgan Arsenault, Quinne Arsenault, and Leah Collier; sisters, Leona Comeau, and Nancy (Don) White; and by her sisters-in-law, Ann DesRoches, and Emma Arsenault. Predeceased by her daughter, Mona Lee Gallant; brothers, Peter, Lester, and Gordon DesRoches; and by her sister, Pearl Richard. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Tuesday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment later in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery.
