In the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on December 9, 2023, Linda Jean Rose passed away with her family by her side at the age of 80. Born May 6, 1943, in Red Point, PEI, Linda was a daughter of the late Roy and Pansy (nee Bruce) Rose. Linda is survived by her beloved partner of 33 years, Claude J. Redmond; sisters, Heather (Dave) Parker, Darlene (Paul) Clark and Joanne (Charles) Dunphy; sisters-in-law, Mary (John) Kenny, Andrea MacDonald, Carol (Larry) Chassion; brother-in-law, Elmer Redmond; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by brother, Clarence Fraser; sister, Janet Fraser MacNeil; brother-in-law, Arnold MacDonald; sister-in-law, Dianne Redmond and her beloved cat of 19 years, Babe. Linda’s life calling was to teach school. She taught in numerous schools across Eastern Kings, Southern Kings and North Winsloe. She taught many students in grades one, two and three throughout her 35 year teaching career. Linda will truly be missed by her family and friends, and many students she dearly loved.
