The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, December 23, 2023 of Mervin Wade Jay of Cornwall, age 68 years. Loving husband of Susie (nee MacLean), father of Nevada Doyle and Carlie (Tyler Dykerman). Proud Ampie of Duke and Kip Dykerman and Valeah Doyle. Brother of Velda Shaw, Elwin, Arlie and Reuben. Survived by mother-in-law Marion MacLean, sisters-in-law Dawne Livingston, Joanne (Geff) Holroyd and Lynn Jay, and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Garfield and Marion (MacLean) Jay, father-in-law Merwyn MacLean, sister-in-law Wendy MacLean, and brother-in-law Kenny Shaw. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Canoe Cove Cemetery. Family flowers only, however if so desired, memorial donations may be made directly to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation (Cancer Treatment Centre).
