Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the passing of Ronald Boyd Johnston, age 62, of Peters Road, occurred on Thursday, December 7, 2023, beloved husband of 30 years to Cora Johnston. Born in Montague August 20, 1961, son of the late Russell and June (Clow) Johnston. Survived by Cora’s children Curtis (Treena) Butler, Holly (Jeremy) Johnston; grandchildren Paige, Hudson, Alyssia, Brittney, and special granddaughter, Ally; great-granddaughter, Ava; brother, Barry (Audrey) VanIderstine; sister-in-law, Michelle Johnston; niece, Allana Johnston, and nephew, Robert VanIderstine. Predeceased by brother, Allan Johnston. Ronald loved his two dogs, Maggie and Barney. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, with visiting on Saturday, December 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 10, in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. with interment to take place in the spring.
