In Summerset Manor Summerside on Friday December 22, 2023, of Thelma J. Stewart, formerly of Kensington, aged 95 years. Born in Margate, March 25, 1928, daughter of the late Edward and Viola (Day) Adams. Wife of the late Willard Stewart. Mother of Gregg (Sandy) Stewart, Summerside. Sister of Isabelle Sales, Milton, ON. Sister-in-law of Reta Gallant. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Violet Adams, Lorne and Elaine Adams and Keith Adams; as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Fred Sales, Jean and George Howatt and Layton and June Stewart. Thelma was the town clerk for the Town of Kensington for many years. She was a devoted member of the Kensington United Church where she acted in many roles including treasurer. Thelma also enjoyed the friendships she made while a member of the Kensington Bridge Club. Thelma loved to travel. During the 1970s, she went on two major bus trips, one through the south-western United States and one to the British Isles. She also made numerous trips to Florida and British Columbia to visit friends and family. Resting in Davison Funeral Home, Kensington. No visitation by personal request. A private funeral and committal service will be held in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel.
