Peacefully, surrounded by her family at Whisperwood Villa on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 of Yacoba ‘‘Cobie’’ Oomen of Mt. Stewart age 89 years. Beloved wife of 60 years of Theo. Loving Mother of Tony (Nicolle) and Desiree (Derek) Dunn. Fun and loving Oma to Kennedy, Dominic, Mekhi and Breeze Oomen. Sister of Mien Nooren, Wim (Ceciel) Nooren, Piet Nooren, Harrie (dec) (Nanny) Nooren-Pijs, Toon (Bets) Nooren, Nico(dec) (Corry) Nooren-Luijkx, Dina (Nico dec.) Bastiaansen-Nooren and Kees (Annie) Nooren (both dec.) and Christ (Wies) Nooren. Sister-in-law of Sr. Marie, Lenie, Corie, Nelie, Piet, Jos, Kees and their families. Cobie will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and friends Pat and Tom Atkins who were like family. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home for visiting hours on Thursday, December 14th from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral will be held on Friday, December 15th from St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Stewart at 10 a.m .Interment in St. Andrew's Parish Cemetery. Cobie was a colorful lady so you are encouraged to wear bright colors.
