It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Eleanor Jane (MacDonald) Harris. Her death occurred peacefully, with family by her side, on Thursday, January 18, 2024, after a brief stay at the Prince County Hospital. Born August 29, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Russell and May (Fall) MacDonald and the loving wife of the late James M. Harris. Remaining to love and cherish her memory are her four children: Paula Moore of Fredericton, NB, Marianne Harris of Courtenay, BC, David Harris of Vancouver, BC, and Alex Harris (Darlene Worth) of Noonan Shore, PEI; her grandchildren: Jeff Moore (Sheri-Lee Samson), Jayne (Ryan) Quinn, Jennifer (Jeff) Lenehan, Josh Harris (Ruby Roque), Kris Harris, Lily Harris; her great grandchildren: Carter, Spencer and Rebecca Moore, Isabella, Abby and Ava Quinn, Kate and Ethan Lenehan, Eleanor, Casey and Briar Harris, and Jannray Roque. Besides her husband and parents, Eleanor was predeceased by her son-in-law Donald Moore; siblings: Dorothy (Ken) Muttart, Joseph (Annie) MacDonald, Hensley (Tisey) MacDonald, Miriam (Stuart) Jones, Amelia (David) Larkin, Ruth (Leighton) Warren, John (Lorna) MacDonald, Lois (Garth) Clark, Gordon (Mary Lou) MacDonald and infant Lillian; brothers-in-law: Donald Harris and Michael Brimson; sisters-in-law: Anna Brimson, Barbara Harris and Margaret Harris. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Saturday, January 27, 2024, then to the Summerside Baptist Church, for funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment later in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. No visitation by request.
