The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by his loving family of Gordon C. Neill in his 89th year after a brief battle with cancer. Born in North Milton, PEI, he was a son of the late Arthur (Joe) and Florence (MacKinnon) Neill. Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Irene (Stevenson) Neill; his children, Wayne, Jean (Wade) Matheson, David and Douglas; grandson, Ben Matheson; step grandsons, Scott (Tawnya) and Brian (Kerri); and step great-grandchildren, Brad (Amy), Ethan, Kayden, Lily and Kohl; beloved brother-in-law of Ruth Neill, Byron Stevenson, Liz and Harvey Houston, Shirley and Fred Bagnall, Vernon and Lorraine Stevenson; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by sisters, Jeanette Cooper, Shirley MacKay, and brother John (Ruth) Neill. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home for visitation on Tuesday, January 9th from 1-2 p.m. Funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Fairview Cemetery.
