J. Gerard SHERRY — Red Deer, AB

Of Red Deer, Alberta, and formerly of Fernwood, Prince Edward Island, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Red Deer, AB, on Friday, December 15, 2023, at the age of 61 years. Gerard loved curling, golfing, camping, broom ball and he enjoyed farming while on P.E.I. Gerard was always ready to lend a hand when asked. Gerard will be lovingly remembered by his wife of thirty-two years, Stacey Joanne (nee Rosenthal) Sherry; his siblings, June Cormier, Margaret (Mark) Bowness, George (April) Sherry, Thomas (Nancy) Sherry, Rita (Joe) Clow, Mike Sherry (Suzy Brownlee), and Paul (Darlene) Sherry. Gerard had numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and extended family members. Gerard was predeceased by his parents, Brendan and Vera (nee Sherry) Sherry; his sisters, Marilyn Sherry, Carol MacCormack, Cheryl Newcombe, Angela Lockerby; brothers-in-law, Fred Cormier, Bruce MacCormack, Jackie Newcombe; his mother-in-law, Helen Murkin; and his fur baby, Zeus. Flowers Gratefully declined. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Church, Seven Mile Bay, on Saturday, January 6, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place later in St. Peter’s Church Cemetery, Seven Mile Bay. No visiting hours by request. Memorial donations made directly to St. Peter’s Church Cemetery Fund, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
