The death occurred peacefully at her home in Rose Valley on Friday, January 5, 2024 of June Blanche MacKinnon (nee Parker) in her 100th year, surrounded by her family. Loving mother of Marvin, Delmar (Carolyn), Gordon, Donald, Jean Deakin (Dave). Beloved grandmother of Spencer MacKinnon (Bev), Emma Larsen (Jake), Zachary MacKinnon (Sam), Jillian MacKinnon (Kaleb), Aaron Deakin, Adrian Deakin, Charlotte Gardiner (Vinny). Cherished great-grandmother of Ava, Annabelle, Christine, Nellie, Stevie, Alex and Deakin. Survived by her sister, Shirley Graham (Donnie), Mary Gamester (Byron-deceased), Vera MacBride (Earl); and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Murdock MacKinnon, brother, Lorne Chappell, sisters, Alice Gamester and Muriel Saunders.
