The death occurred at The Mount Continuing Care Community on Thursday, January 4, 2024 of June McKarris of Charlottetown. Survived by nieces and nephews, Roger (Suzanne) Ghiz, Barb (Leonard) Green, Peter Ghiz, Robert (Mona) Michael, Maureen Murphy (Victoria, BC) and David Michael and their families. Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Sadie (Kays) McKarris; siblings, Marguerite (Atallah) Ghiz, Helen (Frank) Michael, Sally (Joe) Murphy and Robert McKarris; nephew, Joe Ghiz; and nieces, Louise Calder and Kathy Murphy. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where family prayers will be held on Wednesday at 3 p.m. Interment in St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made directly to St. Peter’s Cathedral. Visiting hours Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of service for family only.
