The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital on January 10, 2024, of Leona Gaudet (Pineau) of Summerside, aged 91 years. Leona was born in Hope River, PE to her late parents, Mosie and Florence (Bell) Pineau. Beloved mother of Wayne (Noella) Gaudet, Donna (Ed) MacDonald, Phyllis (John) Doucette, Wendy (Wayne) McWhinney, and Mitchell (Crystal) Gaudet. Also lovingly remembered by grandchildren, Terra (Jay), Scott (Danika), Rylan, Thomas, Patrick; and two great-granddaughters, Brooke and Lennon. Remembered by several nieces and nephews. Survived by sister, Shirley Clow and sister-in-law Julie Pineau. Predeceased by her parents, and her brothers Basel, Leonard, Francis, and Terrance “Terry”. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, January 15th where a funeral will take place in the chapel at 6 p.m. Interment to take place at a later date. Donations in Leona’s memory to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday, January 15th from 4 p.m. until time of service.
