The death occurred at his late residence in North Rustico, on Sunday, January 21, 2024, of Lionel Gallant, age 64. Lionel was the son of the late Albert and Rita (Pineau) Gallant. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Louis (Jan), Regis (Barb), Elaine Hayward, Marilyn Mitchelmore (Harvey), Lee (Cathy), Claire James, George (Cathy), Nancy Gallant (Kenny), Faye Fyfe (Fred) and Patsy Gamauf (Rob); brother-in-law, Edwin Peters; and special friends, David and Karen Hayden and Peter Buote. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Lionel was predeceased by his sister, Norma Peters; infant sister, Betty Ann; and brother-in-law, Blair James. No visitation or funeral by personal request. At a later date there will be a gathering for family and friends to honour Lionel.
