It is with deep sadness that Violet 2 (fur baby and companion) announces the peaceful passing at the Kings County Memorial Hospital of Richard Carl Landry, 85, of Georgetown, on Sunday, January 14, 2024. Born September 11, 1938, a son of the late Stephen and Dorothy (Lavers) Landry. Survived by brother-in-law, Ron Hughes; and fur baby, Violet 2; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Harold (Dorothy), Ward (Ruth), Albert (Lorraine), Floyd (Jean); sisters, Donalda Hughes and Lorraine Caldwell (James); and longtime loving partner and companion the late, Ruth Miller. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visitation hours on Saturday, January 20, from 2-4 p.m. The family would like to thank Dr Bernard Holland, the nursing staff at KCMH, the workers with Home Care, and the paramedics who made it possible for Richard to remain at home for the past few years.
