The death occurred peacefully at her home in Winsloe, surrounded by her family, on January 3, of Shirley Helen Weeks, aged 92. Born in Meadowbank, she is the daughter of the late Robert and Ella Jewell. Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Betty (Derrick) Egan and Faye (Charles) Brown; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; brother Roy (Elaine) Jewell, sister Beverley (George) Gillespie, sister-in-law Irene (Parker) Jewell; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Raymond (Ray) Weeks; son, Preston Weeks; daughter-in-law, Phyllis (Moore) Weeks; and sister-in-law, Hazel Ripley and brothers-in-law, Gordon Ripley and Boyd Weeks.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Friday, January 5, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Her funeral service will be held from Winsloe United Church on Saturday, January 6, at 11.a.m. Interment will take place in Floral Hills Cemetery in the spring.
