1929-2024. Passed peacefully at Garden Home on Saturday, January 20, 2024, of Solomon George Taweel, age 94 years. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Vera (Beck). Cherished and loved father of Angela, Kerry (Shaureen), Colette (David) Upton and Mary Ann (Scott) MacPherson, and grandfather of Keri Anne (Caleb Carver), Ashley and Clark Upton (Caine Meyers). Brother of Hanna Ghiz, Peter Taweel, Paul (Barbara) Taweel, Helen (Ray) Travers and Abdullah (Karen) Taweel, brother-in-law of Lila Taweel and June Casserly, and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Nakaad and Badia Taweel, brothers James Taweel and Mel Taweel, sister Amelia Jabbour, brothers-in-law Joseph Jabbour, George Ghiz and Elmer Beck, sisters-in-law Diane Taweel and Ruth MacKay, niece Linda Jabbour and nephew Donnie Taweel. Resting at Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home from where visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 3-6 p.m. The funeral will be held Wednesday, January 24, from St. Peter’s Cathedral at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Peter's Anglican Cemetery.
