Beloved mother to Marc (Lucinda), Michele (Lee), and Chantal (Jas); grandmother to Brett, Michael, Demerais, Adam, Pierce, Mason, and Tiana; sister, and friend to many, passed away on January 27, 2024. She leaves behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy of boundless optimism, inspirational resilience, and never-ending adventure. Claire's passion for travel took her many countries around the globe, enriching the lives of all who accompanied her. As an educator, she worked diligently to introduce French Immersion to Prince Edward Island in the 1970s, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of countless students. To honour her legacy, an endowment fund has been established to support French Immersion graduates on the Island.
