The family of Gerald Jerome MacDonald is saddened to announce his peaceful passing on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the Colville Manor - his beloved home for the past 13 years. Born in North Lake on February 19, 1948, he was 75 years old and the son of the late Jim and Beatrice (Cheverie) MacDonald. He is survived by his loving siblings: Bernadette McInnis, Loretta (Leroy) Walsh, Charlie (Helen) MacDonald, and Victor (Debbie) MacDonald. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews: Vanessa (Duane) Mahar, Johanna (David) Field, Kara (James) Campbell, Susanne (Sean) Connors, Brodie (Emily) MacDonald, Lisa (Aaron) Cooper and Andrew (Lyndsay) MacDonald. Jerry will be fondly remembered by his many grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Johnny, Leonard and Bernard MacDonald, his sister Patricia MacDonald, brother-in-law Leo McInnis and sisters-in-law Anne MacDonald and Mary MacDonald. Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home where visiting hours will take place on Tuesday, February 20th from 4-6 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at the St. Columba Roman Catholic Church, Fairfield, PE on Wednesday, February 21st at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jerry can be made to the St. Columba Cemetery Fund or the Eastern Kings Health Foundation (Colville Manor).
