The death occurred peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Care on Thursday, February 15, 2024 of Gregory Boyd Irvine of Charlottetown, age 67 years. Loving of husband of Sue (Willson) and father of Adrian (Jamie). Survived by brother Kevin (Beth), mother-in-law Grace Willson, and siblings-in-law Bob (Wendy), John (Sue) and Doug (Karen) and their families. Predeceased by his parents Allan and Nita (Boyd) Irvine and father-in-law Jack Willson. Greg will be remembered by many for his love of music, friends, and family. He put love into everything he did, whether it was teaching students at UPEI, singing with the St. Peter’s Cathedral Choir, or playing tuba with the PEI Symphony Orchestra (one of the many ensembles that he enjoyed playing with throughout his decades-long career). The family extends their gratitude to the staff of Queens Home Care and the Provincial Palliative Care Centre. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Wednesday at 11 a.m. from St. Peter’s Cathedral. For those wishing to attend virtually, the service will be livestreamed on the church’s YouTube page. Interment later in St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery. Family flowers only, however if so desired, memorial donations may be made directly to the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, St. Peter’s Cathedral or the PEI Symphony Orchestra.
