The death occurred peacefully at his home, on February 25, 2024, of Howard Coles, husband of the late Marjorie Coles (Lamont), of Union Road, aged 93. He was a son of the late Lindsay and Isabel Coles. Howard was the father of Marlene Cudmore (Dean), Isabel Camp (Neil) and Blanche Ward (Paul); and grandfather of Emma Ward, Kayla and Nikki Cudmore, and Annie Camp. He is also survived by his sisters, Nanne Garnham and Heather MacDonald (Dunstan); sister-in-law, Gail Ling; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Howard was predeceased by his wife, parents, sister Audrey Myers (Wendell); brothers, George and John (Ann); and brothers-in-law, William Garnham and Nelson Henry. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow. The funeral will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, March 3, at 3 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date in Union Road Cemetery. A memorial table will be available to share written stories of Howard during the visitation. If so desired, memorial donations made to the Provincial Palliative Care Fund would be appreciated.
