The death occurred peacefully at the Garden Home on Saturday, February 24, 2024, of Marjorie “Marge” Alfreda O’Rourke (nee Doyle) of Charlottetown in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) O’Rourke and dear mother of Valerie (Paul Andrews). Proud nanny to Joël (Brynn), Ryan (Lauren) and Sarah (Lucas) Legault. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Noreen Watts and many loving nieces and nephews. Marge was also predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Daisy Doyle; brothers, Alfred, Dick (Jean), John (infancy); sister, Marjorie and brothers-in-law, Dan (Charlotte) and Paul (Vange) O’Rourke. A special thank you to the staff at the Garden Home for their wonderful care over the past year, and especially during her last week. Resting at Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home from where visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27, from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 28, from The Church of The Most Holy Redeemer at 10:30 a.m. If so desired, memorial contributions in memory of Marge may be made to the PEI Cancer Treatment Center or Diabetes Canada.
