The death occurred peacefully, February 1, 2024, at the O'Leary Hospital, of Ralph Joseph Arsenault of Seacow Pond, aged 86. Beloved husband of Karyl (Perry) Arsenault. He was born in Palmer Road to the late Eugene and Catherine ‘‘Kate’’ (Gaudet) Arsenault. Dear father to Kurt, Bart, Nicole (Blaine) and Leah (Lee) Doyle. Grandfather to Josh, Brodie, Mateo, and Nadia Arsenault and Ryley, James and Ella Doyle. Great-grandfather to Lane and Sage Doyle. Survived by brothers and sisters, Alphie (Mary), Ann Marie (Ted) Spice, Johnny (Marlene) and Joanne (Wayne) Girard; and sister in law, Beattie Arsenault. Predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Catherine, brothers Ivan in infancy, and Edward (Beattie) and also by nieces, Sara Girard and Lisa Polley. Ralph was a hard working, proud family man, who loved the sea and fishing. He was well known by all and loved to chat. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road. Visitation was Sunday, February 4th from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. The funeral will take place Tuesday, February 6th at 2pm in Tignish at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in Ralph's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
