The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, February 19, 2024, of Ruth Carle, of Summerside, age 93. Born in Montague, she was the daughter of the late J.J. (Jay) and Hazel (Brehaut) Stewart. Survived by her daughters, Heather (Bill) Hayward of Charlottetown; Lynn (Robert) Poirier of Lower Sackville, NS; Beth (Roy) Piercey of Oakville, ON; grandchildren, James Hayward, Erin (Billy) Rose, Lauren Hayward; Alyson (Andre) Dubuc and Andrew Poirier; Megan Piercey and Sarah Piercey; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Sadie Rose; Logan and Max Dubuc; and by a sister Fay Marshall of Pictou, NS. Predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Carman Carle. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside. No visiting hours by request. A Celebration of Life Service will be held, at a later date.
