1930 - 2024. Eileen Patricia (Hughes) Larkin (nee Kelly) passed away peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on March 4, 2024, at the age of 93. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Hughes Power and Joan Carmody and sons, Edwin (Sonya), Joe, Gene (Electa) and Gary (Jean) Hughes; as well as 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Heron; and sisters-in-law, Ione Kelly and Anita Hughes. Her husband of 31 years, Earl J. Hughes, predeceased her in 1980. She was predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Mary Ann Kelly, and her siblings Margaret (Hughes), Peter, Reginald, Charles, Francis (Frank), Rita (Power), Roland (Rollie), Helen (Milne), Lawrence (Lornie) and Howard. She was also predeceased by her second husband, Vincent L. Larkin, in 2002 and son-in-law, Mervin Power, in 2023. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 9th in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. No visitation by personal request.
