It is with heavy hearts, the family of Florence Lois Rowell announce her peaceful passing which occurred on Monday, March 11, 2024, in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born in Hartsville, PE on October 30, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Jessie (MacLeod) Jewell. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald Rowell; brothers, Cuyler Jewell and Lloyd Jewell; and brothers-in-law, Martin Rowell and George Rowell. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Scheuermann (Brad); her son, Jeff Rowell (Tanya); cherished grandchildren, Alexandra, Nathan, Jack, Connor, Olivia, and Luke; brother-in-law, Tom Rowell (Norma); sister-in-law, Yvonne Rowell. Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially watching her grandchildren's sports games. Family meals were always a highlight for her, as she loved nothing more than being surrounded by her loved ones. Lois had a special place in her heart for her childhood friends, and she was always open to making new friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home, with visitation on Thursday, March 14 from 4-7 p.m. Her funeral service will be held from St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church on Friday, March 15 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Bangor Cemetery in the spring.
