Peacefully with family by her side, the passing of Janet Verna Stewart, age 98, formerly of Charlottetown, occurred Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge, Eldon. Born in High Bank, September 10, 1925, daughter of the late Norman and Sarah Anne (MacKay) Stewart. Janet is survived by sister Betty MacLean, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings, Lawrence, Malcolm, Laughlin, William, Norman, Sadie MacLean, Jessie Mae Bell, Evelyn Machon, and Mary MacDonald. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting hours on Tuesday, March 19th, from 4-6 pm. Funeral Service to take place in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, March 28th, at 2 p.m. A video of the funeral service will be available to view later that afternoon.
