Philip B. FOGARTY — Methuen, MA

Age 85, of Methuen, MA, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Andover Manor, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 12, 1939, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Julia (Morrison) Fogarty, and the husband of the late Clara "Jean" (Campbell) Fogarty. Philip was born and raised on Prince Edward Island in Canada, he moved to Dorchester, MA, in 1959. He started his family with Jean and they moved to Andover, MA, in 1967, living there until 1984 when he moved to Boxford, MA, where he resided until 2000 before moving to Windham, NH. Philip worked as a contractor/builder, he was very skilled at his practice and built over 400 houses in the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsmen and was a big fan of the Bruins. Philip loved his family more than anything, he enjoyed spending time at his summer cottage on Prince Edward Island and loved to go to "THE CAMP" in Maine. Along with his beloved wife of over 49 years, Jean Fogarty, Philip is predeceased by his siblings, Joyce McKenzie, Gerry Sullivan, Joseph Fogarty, and Kenneth Fogarty. Philip will be dearly missed and is survived by his loving children; Cheryl Bracken and her husband Paul of Windham, NH, Kevin Fogarty of Methuen, MA, David Fogarty of Methuen, MA, Beth Anne Campbell and her husband Ron Campbell of Fort St. John, Canada; siblings, Albert Fogarty, Claire McKenzie, Lois McInnis, and Georgie MacAulay. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren; Josh, Chelsi, Sara, Dylan, Jordan, and Jake; as well as by his great-grandson, Weston, and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, with visiting on Tuesday, March 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Wednesday, March 27, at 11 a.m., All Saints Catholic Church, Cardigan.
