Wayne GUINDON — Charlottetown

Wayne GUINDON — Charlottetown

In the early hours of February 15, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife and children, Wayne entered the presence of the Lord he served faithfully in the gospel for many years. Wayne was born on July 4, 1953. He was born again on March 19, 1976, after reading John 3:18 “He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Recognizing he was a sinner, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Having a passion for the lost, Wayne moved to El Salvador in 1997 where he shared the gospel through a variety of means including preaching, short term mission trips, bluegrass music and street ministry. Wayne was also a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had a tremendous sense of humour and always enjoyed a good joke or a good story. He was a wonderful friend to many of us and was particularly drawn to people who moved to PEI from various countries. He and Veronica often demonstrated the gift of hospitality through the generous use of the home God had provided them. He is survived by his loving wife, Veronica; his sons, Gene (Oskar), Brian (Ann) and Caleb (Taylor) and his daughter, Cristy. He leaves behind two precious grandchildren, Marianna and Cairo. Predeceased by his parents, Faustina (Phelan) and Eugene. He is survived by his brothers, Gary (Thelma), Dana and Paul (Cathy) and his sister, Shelley Wengryniuk (George). Resting at the Belvedere Funeral Home in Charlottetown where visitation will take place on Friday March 8th from 4 -7 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Belvedere chapel of the funeral home on Saturday March 9th at 10 a.m. If desired, donations in Wayne’s memory may be made to Emmanuel Bible Camp or The Spanish work of Everyday Publications.
