It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allison Drake in K.E. Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton NB, on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Allison will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years, Ardyth (Sherwood) Drake; two sons, Rodney (Karen) Drake, Gregory (Nicole) Drake; one daughter, Adenna Drake; four grandchildren, Ethan, Liam, David and Clara. Also survived by three sisters, Florence (Rob) Hennessey of Charlottetown, PE, Gwen (John) Chow of Chilliwack, BC and Cindy (Michel) Gaudet of Tantallon, NS; sister-in-law, Jean Drake of Vernon Bridge, PE; as well as many cousins residing on PEI and ON. Besides his parents, Joyce and Perly; Allison was predeceased by brothers, Gary, Derril and Melvin. Allison was the founder of Drake Truck Bodies and Atlantic Truck Bodies. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce-Atlantic, PEI, Charlottetown and Canadian. Allison was a key member in facilitating the construction and opening the Confederation Bridge. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, Vernon Bridge, PE on Wednesday, April 9, at 2 p.m. Memorial donations in Allison’s memory may be made online to PEI Humane Society. Arrangements are entrusted to Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford PEI.
