The death occurred Tuesday April 9, 2024 at Community Hospital, Oleary, of Angus P. Handrahan of Tigish, aged 65. Beloved Husband of Bernadine (Jones) Handrahan. He was born in Alberton to Inez (Gavin)and the late Hubert Handrahan. Beloved Father to, Benjie (Kathy), James (April), and Fr. Andrew, and beloved grandfather to William, Clara, and Sullivan. Always remembered by sisters, Diane, Lois, Faye (Andre)Hachey and Lisa. Survived by in-laws, Janie (Glen) MacRae, Laurie (Jacinta) Jones, Mary (Danny) Arsenault, Angela (Micky) Callaghan, Eva, Robert, and Susan (Paul) Gaudet. Predeceased by his father, Hubert Handrahan; and a sister, Nadine Gallant; also, by his mother and father-in-law Deloris and Robert Jones. Angus worked at the Tignish Co-op from the age of 14 until he retired as Manager. He was well known by the whole community. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson rd. Visitation Thursday is for family only. The funeral will take Place Friday April 12th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Simon and St. Jude Church Tignish. Celebrants are Fr. Walter Flynn and Fr. Andrew Handrahan.In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Priet Benevolent Fund.
