Loving spouse of Neil Johnston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the Atlantic Baptist Home. Born in England, on November 24, 1937, to Florence Anne Turner. In addition to her spouse Neil, she is survived by her son, Barry Thompson (Maura); two grandchildren, Ryan and Owen; and great-granddaughter, Iya (daughter of Steve and Lindsay Thompson); sister, Elizabeth (Alan) of Arnprior, ON; and niece, Sarah (Richard Polkey, children Cameron and Holly) of Ottawa, ON. Diana remarried during WWII to Canadian Soldier Lesley Brown, and they had one child, Elizabeth in 1944. Diana arrived in Canada on the troop ship Mauritania at Pier 21, Halifax on January 7, 1945, and lived in various Ontario communities and attended Queens University, becoming a Music Teacher, before retiring to Stanhope, PEI in 1998 with late husband Jim Stewart. She met Neil in 2006 and they had many happy years, traveling often to the UK and across Canada, before Alzheimer’s took over. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home.
