The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Monday, April 8, 2024, of Janie "Berniece" Wallace, of Fortune Cove aged 84, loving wife to Ivan Wallace. Berniece was born in O’Leary on July 23, 1939, daughter of the late Cyril & Goldie (MacDougall) Easter. Cherished mother to Gail Wallace, Summerside and Stephen (Gailene), Fortune Cove. Dear sister to Bing (Dora) Easter, Vance (June) Easter, sister-in-law to Layton (Margie) Wallace and Arlene (Ivan) Gill. Berniece was predeceased by her parents; brother, Garfield; and mother and father-in-law Jim, and Jean Wallace. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel O’Leary with visiting hours on Thursday 6-9 p.m. Funeral on Friday at the Elmsdale Church of the Nazarene at 3 p.m. Interment to follow in the Elmsdale Church of the Nazarene Cemetery.
