The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at Andrews Senior Care Home in Summerside on April 12, 2024 of Lydia Myers, age 86, formerly of St. Louis. Daughter of the late Cyril and Mildred (Martin) Doucette of St. Louis. Predeceased by her husband John Maurice Myers. Left to mourn is her special friend Frank Lawless of Bedeque, PEI; daughter Jenny (Hiliary) Shea of Cascumpec, PEI;, son Jerry (Helga Stitt) Myers of Ontario; son Sam Myers of Summerside, PEI: daughter Carol (Fred) Kenny of Summerside; son Tom Myers of Summerside; son Tim (Brenda) Myers of Ontario; daughter Maria (David) Wells of Summerside. Loving Grandmother to Rhonda, James, Lindsay, Brenda, Taylor, Marissa, Stan, Kali; and Great-Grandmother to Abigail, William, Aria, Ava, Emmalin, Charles, Rosemary, John. Also remembered by brothers and sisters Ann Lynch, Arthur (Anna) Doucette, Victor (Darlene) Doucette. Predeceased also by brothers and sisters Marie Carragher, Clovie Doucette, Gussy Doucette, Henry Doucette, Joseph Doucette. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, St. Louis (across from the Immaculate Conception Church). Hours of visitation Sunday April 14th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral will take place Monday, April15th at 11 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road. Officiant is Father Lazaru.
