It is with sadness we announce the passing of Roma MacNeill in her 91st year at Dr. John Gillis Memorial Lodge on April 12, 2024, formerly from Murray Harbour. Roma is lovingly remembered by daughter Cheryl Ford (Wayne) and son Mark MacNeill; Grandchildren Megan Ford (David), Rebecca Ford (Kyle), Emma MacNeill and Isaac MacNeill; and great grandson Duncan Thompson. Predeceased by husband Eric MacNeill; daughter-in-law Heather MacNeill; parents Reginald and Helen Johnston; brother, Aurell Johnston, sister, Ruby Skene (Alec) and brother, Wayne Johnston. Survived by siblings Pauline Ellis (Joe), Reginald Johnston (Elsie), Edith Zakem (Joe deceased), Elizabeth Mill (Jerry); sisters-in-law Cathy Strickland (Fred) and Linda MacNeill (Elmer deceased); and many nieces and nephews. We the family wish to express our thanks for the kind and compassionate care mom received at The Lodge. Resting at Southern Kings Funeral Home, Murray River. On Saturday April 20th at 11:00 am there will be a private family visitation with burial to follow at Murray Harbour Cemetery.
